Chesh never had a life of her own - she was handed to the Jedi Temple at 4 and barely recalls anything of her life before. The Jedi are her family, and she wants nothing more than to make them proud. She was Knighted at 22 and assigned to Ryloth to aid in the slaving crisis on the planet. The Sith came, captured her, and stuck her on a hippie socialist compound on Dromund Kaas. They took her lightsaber, her soul made steel, and bleed it. Twisted it into something dark and broken. She's going to get it back. No matter the cost.
